See, hate is easy, and it fuels you because you can channel it into anger and use it as a powerful source of energy. It becomes like a old leather coat - familiar and comfortable. Ultimately it can consume you and does terrible things to you.

Love on the other hand is far harder. Love requires you to expose that part of yourself which we keep hidden. It requires hard work and effort. It means that we become vulnerable to each other - to hurt and rejection. Ultimately, having love in your soul can elevate you to unimaginable heights.

Its simply a choice of which path you wish to take. I have walked both in my lifetime - I know which I would chose every time now.

Love is hard. I'll give you that. If someone annoys me to the point of losing it. I will tell them straight. If I want to tell someone I love them. Its a much harder thing for me to do, but am I stupid for being like this or is it normal?

Perfectly normal. Telling someone you love them is an expression of emotion and a doorway to possible hurt and rejection - or to the greatest feeling of being loved in return. Its a bloody huge risk which can hurt us far deeper than any punch.

I've risked it all three times now - Id still do it again even knowing the risks and given the (metaphorical) beatings I've taken for it.
