dog hotspot

My husky cross has a nasty hotspot.

he has been shaved and is on antibiotics and steriods..

he has a fever and isnt well at all. Very lathargic and panting.

anyone any experience or tips how to keep him as comfy as poss?

Im in worried mummy mode

Plenty of liquids so he doesn't dehydrate and not have it too hot for him apart from that follow what the vet said and keep him calm.

Yh thanks im making sure he is drinking by syringing water in his mouth every so often

i just want him running round driving me nuts

Not sure what hot spot is but therebis a nasty bug going about.. The dogs usually get popped on a drip and kept in overnight.

Have you spoken to the vet.

Hope all is ok

Maybe a cooling shower every now n again (followed by a towel dry) along with plenty of fluids. Hope alls better soon.

I use cold packs from poundland, have a fan on, and let him lay on a tiled floor, dogs loose heat from their pads and tounge, so ice cubes in his water, and hold an ice cube for him/ her to lick.

also put a blanket in freezer and let him lay on it, if he wants to.
