Google it [whinge rating: moderate]

I may totally lose it with the next event organiser that tells me to 'Google it'.

Is there any chance we can get back to the good old fashioned days when you asked an event organiser for information and they just gave it to you?

Besides that, Google is an advertising company. What's to say I won't Google your event and end up finding something better to do?

I agree. It annoys me when someone will start a thread with some new fangled name for a sex act ie, 'is anyone into saucepan'ing and when you ask what it is, they say google it.

Stop being silly, don't start the thread if you are not going to do it properly. This is timewasting

Even worse for me are shop assistants who tell you to look online. Do they not realise they are undermining their own jobs?
