were thinking of letting a single guy join us but were both not 100% sure....would it be best to get someone from another city for our first time ???

The serious answer is if you're not both 100% sure - wait until you are.

If you are then inviting a single bloke over from the next town/city is probably a good way to start. You're not likely to have difficulty finding a bloke willing to travel.
