in general terms yes i do care what they think, im a considerate person and they show me the same back. ive a young child and they are about to become parents so luckily we are on the same wavelength.. no late night parties but if i did have friends over i politely pre warn them/invite them over.

no matter

In what way.. ?

been in this house 35 years they are only my 2nd neighbours.

My birds can get noisy in the day their kiddies play the piano before 8 at weekends. Give and take I guess.

They know I wander round naked..but the likely hood of them seeing is minimal unless they looking out bedroom window when I hang out my washing.

I dont know why they should respect me particularly or V V .

"My neighbours are deaf "

My downstairs neighbour IS deaf and the folks to the side are two rooms away from my playroom.

That said, I wouldn't do anything to embarrass or annoy them. Good neighbours are probably more useful than good relatives ............ and harder to find.

There are limits, they have their business, I have mine. I'll still watch out for my better neighbours, always have and always will. But they should probably be a bit less grumpy, and coming from me, that's sayin something!

No we live in a block of flats. The only thing we try to respect is quiet times.

We wouldn't go out of our way to upset them and try to be considerate.

Do we care if they actually like us, not really.

Only really speak to those that live either side of us. Plus a couple of others over the road that seem to be on our time scale.

Only a little bit, they are good to us giving us vegtables out of their garden and they are quite a nice family.

And they like dogs too.

i like to know my neighbours have a good opinion of me, and they have. have a few notes and cards through the door because we all do things for each other.

we have a lovely 3 house community thing going, and i really wouldnt want to do anything to spoil it, hence when we meet i tell people not to park like a cunt lol

It's a trade off, I don't complain about them banging away at their drums and they don't complain about me...well...banging away!

Im respectful of others, including my neighbours. The next door ones are fab, and we all support each other, it is lovely. So Id be concerned if they did not like something I do, if it affected them. The street is generally great, Im lucky. I dont like impressiing others, I just am myself and treat others as I like to be treated, with respect.

Could not give a damn what next door think, as long as they aint noisey, nosey or knocking on my door its all good. I hate the type who pop out the same time your going out your door to chat, I like to keep myself to myself, just a friendly hello will suffice.

I would prefer to be in a detached property but beggars cant be choosers as they say.

I don't quite understand this 'what will the neighbors think,' attitude - live & let live is my motto. Maybe that's why I live in the country - lol

Our neighbours don't speak to us anyway as I have called the police on the several times each time resulting in either him being taken away for a visit to the cells or an ambulance being called !! So no I don't care what they think.

The other side ok, they know what we do and still talk to us lol.

Good fences make for good neighbours!!!!! Some of mine are great others less so and one of them is ever so close to getting a damn gokd kicking. I live in a classic 'keeping up with the Joneses' cul de sac. It's hilarious watching them all compete.

I only have one house next to me, so only one neighbour. While I don't care what they think I wouldn't go out of my way to upset them.

They are late sixties and a lovely couple and we have had them round a few times for dinner.

They can be the type to jump on you the minute you walk out of your drive to your car for a chat though.

We have an old boy by us that we happily chat to. He has quite a lot of pets and as animal lovers we always fuss them and it's clear he appreciates that. He's met some of our more alternative/punk friends and doesn't bat an eyelid. We like our, admittedly casual, friendship with him but other than that have little if anything to do with any neighbours.

We are generally quiet and considerate and the design of our flat means we have no adjoining walls so it doesn't matter too much. our downstairs neighbours have 2 kids living in a 1 bedroom flat, they are constantly screaming and shouting and the parents just turn the TV up louder - this can be early in the morning or in the school holidays well after midnight. We tend to tolerate it but they made the mistake of complaining about the noise on a rare occasion we had friends stopping over so our tolerence and consideration of them has reduced massively.

My next door neighbour has just move in the last 4 weeks,so don't know what sort of people are going to move in.I am hoping for a raving sex maniac, but knowing my luck it will either be a smack head or a piss head.

Sure I care what my neighbors think about many things after all I have to live next to them. If they thought I was overtly noisy or an inconsiderate neighbor I would be devastated. If we are on about swinging well they know I have a number of visitors and they smile at that and as long as cars don't block them in they are fine.
