"since it is going up from 1 to 2 pounds... are you more/less likely to play, or not change at all... the prize for 3 numbers will go up from 10 pounds to 25 pounds...." Bet the jackpot won't double though.

"Its an idiot tax, nothing more, nothing less. If camelot were a bookies they'd have been shut down for racketeering! Wonga get lambasted over charging idiots £100's in interest when they know full well what they are paying for yet the lottery rob idiots blind in the vaguest hope of winning millions and its all ok? " Tax is mandatory ..a lottery ticket isn't.

"Less likely. Oh , and we ought to sue over the "lucky dip" under the trades descriptions act !. Lucky my arse !!!!! " We use "lucky" hoping it means "good lucky" but it could just as easily be "bad lucky".

" Take all the people that have won millions and put them next to all the people that have bought one or many more tickets, not the same amount is it? The fraction that have won are lucky yes, the masses that haven't and continue to 'play' it are fooling only themselves. Better odds of becomming an astronaut and going to the moon, which, if you did, would enable you to earn millions anyway.! Don't let me stop you plugging away with your £2 a go ticket each week, say weds and sat? You do that and I'll take my £4 a week and put it in a piggy bank. I'll be the one with £208 at the end of the year, versus your millions? Mmmm

And, if i wanted to be an astronaut, i'd apply for the job. If i didn't, i wouldn't!
