Hun and babe .....big big turn offs when used by women in chat as in my opinion it shows she has been doing this so long she no longer bothers with names let alone remembering the the name and the person

So I don't have the greatest memory, never get enough sleep and often seem to be a few hours short in a day.

Your messages don't quite follow, on one hand you say that they are using hun or babe instead of the real name, because they can't remember the real name. But then you say it can't be a term of endearment because these people are strangers? If they are strangers why would they have known the real name in the first place?

Also not everyone wants their real name using in chat, on another site I use, a lot of people know my real name but it doesn't mean I want them to be using it in front of the people I don't know.

Your approach is the correct one. I was merely pointing out it doesn't mean you are "good" and the other poster with the "cutesy" names was "bad".

I find most people respond to informality. They tend to appreciate the "personal" touch. Many patients do not even go by the name they were christened/registered with, and want you to break the formality by asking what they liked to be known as.

not so much hun or babe, but pretty much every woman i come into contact with is referred to as babb, unless i know her name.

maybe its a black country thing, but its a term of endearment, not a come on, not sexually.

you may look at is as such, but tis a shame you do, because calling someone something that not everyone else does can actually be a nice touch.

V actually loves it when i call her by her full name, not a shortened version, because no one else ever does.

So I don't have the greatest memory, never get enough sleep and often seem to be a few hours short in a day.

Never had a guy complain when I call him any of the above, either during chat or whilst having a hot steamy session. So I wont be worrying or changing soon.

Well OP... (tongue firmly in cheek as I type) I have an education and grammar dictates that it's THEIR name. And while we're at it - god didn't give me my name, my parents did, and as an athiest I would find it extremely rude and presumtious if someone suggested I had a god given name or anything else. But see how easily your off the cuff remark could lead to my taking offence?

I call my friends, kids, hubby and complete strangers sweety, honey, darling etc on a daily basis. maybe you are getting your knickers in a twist over nothing?

Frankly, babe, I'm astounded women even waste THEIR time chatting to someone who's been on the site for over a year without being verified.

Even those that know my name call me hon, or kinky, which in a club usually gets a few eye brows raised. When you've lived round notts / sheffield you get used to being called 'duck' and a variety of things. I never see it as either personal or in-personal.

I use hon, luv, sweety, too often. But then I'm usually running or carrying my toddler round and it is the tone that is important.

I (Risky) also dislike the use of Hun. It was first used locally by a very dislikeable woman but Frisky and a lot of the mums use it down the school. To me it sounds false...

But on here it's shorter and easier than typing a full name and beats " Oi fuck face."

You are factual correct as for my last visit here it lasted 3 weeks I got chatting things went well I left .

Quality not quantity for me I'm afraid so I never met anyone to verify me nor do I intend to.

One other thing I also never message anyone offering my services for the same reason I'm not here for lots of random encounters.

I'm back now as I'm back in the market for a discreet relationship not random hook ups not that I have a problem with those who are .

Each to there own but if I had lets say 10 or 15 verification I could not in all honesty say I was looking for a discreet arrangement or relationship.
