Have noticed several threads lately that are political in nature. Obviously people's opinions are their own.

Is Fab the right environment for this though?

Do people's political affiliation, rants about rights etc etc help in the already difficult task of finding legitimate people to have sexual fun with?

Would you turn up at a meet and start debating politics?

Time much better spent flirting and playing.

Well I guess in our onward march towards one day Britain becoming a true democracy any place that one can discuss n debate is to be treasured so yes I'd say Fab is a valid platform

This is where we were leaning towards.

Have been browsing the forums for a few weeks and find most of it all very amusing.

Was just reminded of somebody saying many years ago, never discuss religion or politics at work. Maybe this rule should be applied to swinging?

I discuss politics with some meets - usually guys I see regularly or semi-regularly. Doesn't always have to be about horny fun.

I think it's excellent that there's a avenue to discuss things other than swinging.

Although I read things I fundamentally disagree with and, on occasions, believe to be offensive, I've also read lots of really interesting, thought-provoking posts from people that are clearly very intelligent. I've actually learned things, or been prompted to look into subjects more.

I like the fact that it allows a more rounded picture of the person to be seen.

I post on a football website. There is also a general forum on there. A couple of years ago someone started a post on depression on there. It's still going and is an incredibly informative and supportive resource. The website is a far better place for it.

I like the Lounge - a lot!

Yes of course fab is a good place to discuss political questions, it is a great place to diagnose political through to whimsical and everything in between.

When people do meet, they don't just walk into the house, strip off, have sex and then go without uttering a word. They chat, discuss and have a laugh because they are likely to have things in common.

Not everyone wants to constantly discuss sex or flirt with other people. We may all share a mutual interest in the swinging lifestyle, that doesn't mean we can't talk about anything else.

I been doing this stuff since the run up to the last general election. I talked about politics and religion and all sorts with all of my meets before and during play.

Yes, don't see why people can't have political debates, if think what you might say might deter others from meeting you then don't make a comment on the threads, we are all individuals, with our own opinions and beliefs, yes some replies put me off a person, other replies make me want to get to know a person more.

Also with regards to meets, I always meet socially first, and although their is flirting, there is also discussion to from whole range of subjects
