I had early night, 1130, that's early for me, it's why I'm awake, not much sleep needed lately.

True, but a while ago I had sleep issues, whether I went to bed at 11 or 1 or 2 am, was waking up at this time, thought I'd knocked it on the head as it hasn't happened for a couple of months

I don't mind doing 3-4 nights in one go, hate the break. Tonight will be awake most of the night, and then like Zombie on Wednesday night.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I prefer to work nights as I'm naturally nocturnal.

Unfortunately decent jobs with night hours in my field are rare. And I don't think anyone is allowed to work permanent nights now anyway for health reasons of some sort.

Do you mean in your profession or in general.. As the job i did still has a permanent night shift..lots dopermanent nights..but i agree it messes with your health... my doc once told me over 70% of night shift workers ended up with a heart condition or died of a heart attack! Gulp

In general. I was told permanent nights were no longer allowed. Incorrect information, it seems.

I don't think night work would be too much of a problem for my health. My body prefers a nocturnal pattern anyway and has done since before I was born, (I was quiet all day and kept mum awake all night).

I worked for about a year doing 12hr shifts 5 nights per week, driving with Sunday & Wednesday nights off. Apart from in the middle of Summer, I never saw the light of day! I couldn't handle it but I know some people can; I struggled to sleep every single day & was worried about falling asleep behind the wheel every night! Everyone needs sunlight - heart disease I definitely believe but also a dead ringer for depression I would say; I got out - couldn't handle it anymore!!

I can't sleep either, I struggle to get sleep during the night unless I pass out from exhaustion. If I worked nights or lived in Australia I'd be fine.
