Replying in a thread

Replying to someone else's post doesn't have to imply you have to quote the entire post. You can remove the bits that are irrelevant.

I don't know about you, but I find having to wade through lots of the same text, and having to filter out the added, new comments, tiresome.

It takes the speed and rhythm away. And it can disrupt a good discussion big time.

Just a thought

Glenrothes

That's okay if you are replying from a pc or laptop, but it can prove problematic if using a phone as it can be too difficult and footery! lol

I'm really lazy when it comes to this and never bother. Will take myself off to the naughty step

O o O oo

I half agree....sometimes just the last sentance could be quoted, but other times if they have cropped a post I have to go back to see what started the conversation and quoting in the first place.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I do it for some but not others. Usually if I come in late to a thread and there are several points I want to respond to I leave long posts on.

Or if I'm on the tablet in bed.
