Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I had a lovely evening out in the City of London last night. Well, it was lovely until I left to make my way home.

In the 200 yard walk to the bus stop a smartly dressed man threw up all over his expensive shoes just in front of me. I got to the bus stop and another City 'gent' was sitting in the middle of the bench head hanging down throwing up over his shoes. No one else could use the bus shelter. Then to cap it off another besuited 'gent' d*unkly staggered to the wall of the swanky glass building near the bus stop, threw up, fell over in his vomit, rolled around a bit and then staggered off.

Why do people allow themselves to get in this state?

A London borough is now fining and prosecuting spitting in the streets, I think local authorities should do the same for being sick anywhere other than over a drain.

"You find all the best places "

The Square Mile, very close to Mansion House.

I have seen it in other towns at weekends but not during the week before. However I rarely go out into any centres during the week unless it's work related, dinner or a show.

I wanted to tell them off and to clean it up. How awful for the people on the tube being next to the man who had rolled around in his.

And these guys could be running the banks, the country, the WORLD!!!! OMG. Oh wait a minute - no change there then. But to go back to the OPs original post, it is rather disgusting behaviour and I feel for the poor council/transport workers who have to clean up all the mess.

Sadly everywhere you go you seem to find vomit alley ...

Normally not to far from the takeaways ....

Every Saturday and Sunday morning you see council workers and shop keepers cleaning and disinfecting the pavements and doorways

It what happens when you pay people to much money with no sense of responsibility or respect for their community or anyone else. Some poor person is having to clean up after them today.

To much money ?

That's irrelevant in this debate ....

Anyone who puked all over the streets has no respect, regardless of any so called status

People with little or no money would not be drinking on a Thursday night in the square mile so I think it has a bearing on their behaviour

And these same people will look down their noses on the workers who clean our streets. They should walk a day/night in their shoes.

It did provide a conversation piece for those of us waiting for a bus. We thought the City Corporation of London should consider flushing vomit points.
