Regrets in life.?

There is no such thing as a life without any regrets. However regrets can become either burdens that interfere with your present happiness and restrict your future or motivation to move forward. Have you found yourself overcome by regrets how did you deal with it ?? I know we can't live in the past and looking back don't always help, But we do live and lean. Now have that song in my head My way , lolol

Yes you do of course live and learn, it makes us the people we are today. But you should never regret anything you have done, you could never alter/change the past and it should stay firmly there or else you will dwell on it and it will become all consuming.

The current and future are far more important to me.

when i was a teenager i met a man from nigeria, and when my parents found out they were shocked so i told him i didnt want to see him again, i thought maybe they were right, people would stare at us and he was shorter than me, only afterwards my mum said she didnt mind me seeing him, maybe he was a nice man its just that she was surprised to see me with him as where we live i only knew of two black people.

Years later i regreted it because he seemed so nice.

just little things like that i regret sometimes.

I've had a rollercoaster of a life and made many bad choices but I never hold on to feelings of regret or guilt for long, it's very damaging to do so. Just live, learn and move on

Retirement Village

Biggest regret i have is listening to so called 'family' who try to control my life for their own gain and not let me be me.

It's cost me a lot in life but hopefully working towards my own happiness now

Actually you can live without regrets. I do. What is past is past - you learn from your mistakes and they make you a better or wiser person. Therefore, there is nothing to regret. Each experience, however unpleasant it may be, is important and teaches you something.

Non, je ne regrette rien.

no matter

I think in reality I should have started a new life after the kids left home.

I cant complain really Im lucky in many ways but have missed out on life for 20 years. Dont know how I would have managed alone though.

Now too late to rectify.

I regret posting dumb things sometimes.

In life, got to learn from mistakes and keep smiling. Things have an odd way of turning out ok in the end.

I could (& nearly did!!) list all the times I'd like to go back to and have a little word with myself!! But if I changed anything I wouldn't be where I am here & now. And its a pretty cool place.

The past is history, the future a mystery, but now is a gift... that's why its called the present.

(Yes I did just quote Kung Fu Panda!!)

Yes you're right in saying that .. I have one very big one .. My dad was taken into hospital They was going to let us take him home but had him stay in a side room .. 2 nd day I go into see him he is sitting on end of the bed saying joanne you coming to take me home I say I can't Dad your not well ............ next morning mum had a call he was dead had an aneurysm. I just wish I had taken him home to die in his own bed .. as he always said when he was going to go he wished to be at home.
