I've not dumped someone by text but I did let my ex know that I'd have moved out by the time he got in from work. The actual split happened a few days earlier in a very short, very amicable conversation in bed.

The same, got dumped by my recent ex by text and believe me it was not a nice way to find out.

Unless you have experienced the situation you will have a good idea what its like.

When i think about it now and how she done it she was a nasty piece of work and a coward. She gave no reason as to why she wanted to end it and that still annoys me, its the not knowing why.

As for Cheryl Cole she does nothing for me

Like Honeypot mobiles werent as available when I last dated I only got my first mobile a month before hubby and I got together, so I havent dumped anyone by txt or been dumped via txt.

When I was a teenager it was bad enough to be told by a mate that you were dumped never mind by txt or email!!!

I suppose the text is todays equivalent of the dear John, easily done without any face to face confrontation.

I sent my ex a letter... to get his ass home... I had something to say to him

Scary as it is to do, only a coward uses a text or a letter to dump someone, much better to get up close and personal and really inflict pain with your words, so much more satisfaction and closure to be gained seeing their face as you tell them to get out of your life!

i havent dumped anyone by text but when i was with my last bf i started fooling around with an old ex. he got a pang of the guilts (or more likely though if he split us up i would go running into his arms...) and so he messaged my bf on facebook to tell him what we had been doing.

had to try to get home before he logged on and intercept the message - i was not succesful

I know this is going to make me sound a right bitch but here goes anyway!!

I dated a guy for a few years and after splitting up many times and getting back together as many times, letting him treat me like a peace of meat, and doing some not very nice things to me. I finally plucked up the courage to dump him and ohh it felt great to screw with his head a bit when I did it

It wasnt til about 7 years later I spoke to his sister and was told how badly I screwed him up I felt bad for about 2 seconds til I remembered how he made me feel at the time I then said well good now he had a rough idea how he treated me and countless others

Maybe I should feel bad but I cant bring myself to feel anything tho - does that make me a bad person??

Only positive i got when she dumped me by text was that she asked for her flat keys back and i said 'the ones that i got cut which i paid for, cue her saying 'if i don't get them back i will have to change my locks'..........on you go i said

I have still got her keys in the drawer.
