Building progress...

Southwick

Just been over to Shoreham footbridge which links Shoreham-by-Sea to Shoreham Beach crossing the River Adur.

It's been under construction for just over a year and I often go over to see the progress made. It replaces a concrete construction from the 20's.

Do any other people follow the progress of buildings etc?

Followed the replacement of a Railway Footbridge from 1913, mostly because it crosses over where I work... The old steelwork took a few days to cut away, the contractors said of the brick & concrete piers 'Naah no problem, we'll have them down in a day or two'... Three weeks and four broken machines later, most of them were still standing...
