Aww big hugs!!! You made it down to the final 2 out of so many, that's brilliant! And she said she'd keep you in mind- so keep a look out and remind her you're there when she needs you. xx

Keep your chin up, I had an interview in February and didn't get it because the other person had more experience. They called me 6 weeks ago, and I start on 10th October!!!

Don't feel silly for being being disappointed: most of us would be. Hope you find something soon x

Keep going, you never know what is around the corner. Don't let it get you down.

Remember that in this economic climate that you did extremely well just to get an interview, many employers get 50-100 CVs for one job.

Thats what I keep trying to remind myself

That's bad luck. But take the positives:

1) you got down to the final 2

2) they will call on you when they need help. This could be your way to more permanent work

3) they were very impressed with you. So you are making a GOOD impression on people.

4) you don't have to give me a bj now

Chin up and I'm sure the right job is just around the corner.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'm sorry to hear that. Of course you are disappointed. You did extremely well but when it's close like that it is really frustrating.

Do take up the opportunity for filler work if it comes up and make sure you can use them as references in the future.

Definitely...I thanked her for the chance and said by all means to let me know when she needed me...getting my foot in the door is a start, even if it is only a day here and a day there. It is mixed feelings as so proud of myself to have gotten so far but gutted to not have gotten that little edge to get it. Back to the jobcentre Tuesday...LOL

Their loss, right, whats next, wedding cakes, childrens cakes, you have an oven, go for it,

Even if its a stall on local market, one day a week,

Use your experience get cracking, and away you go, we all have to eat.

As you get busier look for a kitchen that isn't being used for part of the day or night, and offer to pay rent for a number of hours, soo many pubs don't use their kitchens ( which are fully equipped ) you could help them out !

hundreds of ideas, which I am sure you have had.

Down to the last two is a major plus for you. You have obviously prepared well for the interview and conducted yourself well during the interview.

You will be well prepared for the next time and may even get a call from the person who said she will contact you if something else comes up.

Very best wishes x

Well that is bad news, hugs coming your way, is impressive however if there were quite a few applicants and it was down to you two, if so give yourself a pat on the back

who knows what will come.

the door has been left slightly ajar so dont be too downhearted.

its coming up to xmas so there is a chance they may be calling on your services sooner than you think, and then, just prove yourself invaluable.

some talk a good job, others prove they can do it.

good luck. x

This, you could even create a page on Facebook. - You'd be surprised how much it can do.

Me and my cousin made a baking page and did a few orders just for the cost of ingredients to build up a portfolio.

Take pictures and ask your "customers" for feedback. It proves your imagination, capabilities and passion and could help you in the long run.

Keep your chin up x there is the right job for you out there somewhere.

You can start your own little business if you wanted to. I am guessing it is something to do with baking (i'm smart like that), so you could do something within your local area and create a brand. And before you know it. You have your own intellectual property

...but keep at it. Don't be too disheartened.

i know of half a dozen people that make custom cakes for upwards of £40 a time, around these parts.

they make a fair living from it, so get it done.
