Brighton - even Hove!

You could do so on a non emergency number just for your own piece of mind. Better action than non action.

Have you knocked on her door?

How long have you known her? Do you have a contact number for your neighbour? Give her a call.

It can do no harm to ring cops. As for your post reharding society i feel far too often folk turn away from others in need or trouble which i feel is terrible.

Few yr back i made a stand against a group of druggies who were threatening an old lady to get money off her i intervened and made sure she got home safe and rang cops.

Unknown to me i had been followed and was attacked by the group. I testified and a few got sent down.

Would i do it again too bloody true i would folk have to make a stand.

Its a sign of the times which is so sad.

Once everyone grew up in close knit communties but they have disintergrated over the years.

When i first moved here 30+ yrs ago, everyone knew wveryone, street parties and get togethers all the time. I used to offer to go to the shop for those who couldnt manage it.

Now sadly thats gone, i havent been in my garden for two years...i dont venture out the door or see anyone...has anyone knocked my door to see if im ok....NO .

anything could have happened but then those folk who would have knocked are no longer there. A street full of non caring strangers has taken the place of a community that cared.

Go knock and say hello , if no answer, check with the police

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Community spirit is a much less social creature today. I speak to only a handful of my neighbours, there are so many horrible people living here now so many of us tend to keep themselves to themselves.
