Id like to try lobster too.

But I'm the only one in my household that wants to try it. So I couldn't justify the price to just throw it in the bin if its not all that.

Id also like to try a truffle.

Difficult to think of any.

Insects were interesting (the jungle restaurant near euston)

I suppose cooked oysters, I enjoy them raw but because they are such a treat I have never had them cooked

Buy a lobster tail from the fish counter cost about a £5 max

Truffle, either get the ones in water from Sainsburys/waitrose (£6) and shave over scrambled eggs (sort of truffle taste) or order a truffle risotto if your local Italian does one

Truffle oil is infused with the flavour but is much cheaper.

Also aldi or lidl do whole frozen lobsters for a fiver.

"squid and oysters "

I tried squid by mistake once as I thought it was onion rings. Did not like the texture at all, very rubbery and chewy.

Cook it to seconds or cook it for hours

Raymond Blanc had a great receipe for slow cooked squid
