Great North Run

Has anyone done the Great North Run or the London Marathon...

I did a few a few years ago but find it hard to motivate myself to do all the training.

Its a great feeling when you finish..

Knowing your efforts will help charities..

I have done five London and 4 GNR but many years ago.

I am going to start running again in 2014

I jogged over the line in 2 hrs 15

He ran in 1 hr 39 minutes - really good time for a 17 year old !!!

well done to you both ...have done the great north run also and loved every minute of it ..the supporters along the route are amazing as well ..the hardest part of it i found was actually getting over the start line ..im sure the elite runners had almost finished before id even got over the start line

My son started at the back and I was a third the way from the front

Took him until mile 11 to catch me - but he came flying past.

Have to agree the Geordies really support the race and their welcome is so warm
