that world the Italian composer and singer, writer of greats such as Che sara has died at his home in Rome aged 78 (reported in la republica)

joining him on the big dancefloor in the sky are

Andrew Goodwin, professor of media at the University of San Francisco has died in a house fire aged 56 (reported in the san jose mercury)

and

Sunila Abeysekera, the Sri Lankan Human Rights campaigner who lost her fight against cancer aged 61 (reported by the BBC)

Just three of the many who have breathed their last mortal breaths in this world. Gone, but never forgotten R.I.P.

"Why do you start these threads?"

I see it as part of the daily publication that is the Fab Forum. You need an obit column.

Obits are one thing but the other day it was for an unknown sportsman for a defunct team in a foreign country.

If it had been for a Nobel prize winner a world great or an unknown who had enriched all our lives in someway I can understand.

But trailing obscure local newspapers for a deceased c lister is not going to improve my understanding of the world

"I don't find it inspirational

I think morbid would be him gloating over their corpses, not giving them an honourable mention for what they achieved in their lives
