The figures show the economic decline appears to have bottomed out and is now showing signs of slight growth,,,,,,

But I think its a bit petty to seize on the word “recovery” as if it’s being used by the chancellor in a way that he’s claiming the job is done..

IDK sometimes I get the feeling some people prefer bad news…

If the Labour Party had stuck to the ideals of it's founders we wouldn't need a new party. But,as ever,just like the Trade Unions, people found they could have well paid and cushy jobs. Why change the system? Just exploit it. It's working very well for them.

No bun fight here. Always pleased to hear a genuine point. I used to vote Labour automatically.Now I vote for the individual regardless of party affiliations. Although what they say is one thing(in order be elected)and what they do is often the opposite.

No bun fight here. Always pleased to hear a genuine point. I used to vote Labour automatically.Now I vote for the individual regardless of party affiliations. Although what they say is one thing(in order be elected)and what they do is often the opposite."

used to be Labour till Blair was elected, abstaining doesn't sit well personally as its too hard won a 'right' to not participate..

bet there were folk sitting about in pre Roman times saying the same..

I'm not a lover of Gideon (as you like to call him) either, but come on give a little bit of credit, if only for shutting up the obnoxious two faced pillock Balls

The job he inherited from McDoom was akin to Mission Impossible 4 (or are they on to 5 now?) For me he didn't cut hard or deep enough, the so called "savage cuts" were about as severe as being slapped round the tits with a wet fish.

If only we could get Maggie back with Kieth Joseph, Nigel Lawson, and Norman Tebbit alongside her then the country would get back on its feet.

this is one aspect of politics i cant understand at all

political affiliation

why do people vote for a party no matter what they do or say?

personally i vote for who suits my circumstances at that moment in time (last time i voted tory because labour had fucked things up so there needed to be a change)

next time i may well not vote tory, depends what happens between now and then.

head on the radio today the most deprived areas of glasgow have been labour 'safe seats' for decades.

so why do the locals keep voting them in when they do nothing for their community?
