I actually went to the Italian sunken garden at Media City on Saturday - it made me feel like a child again!

My favourite presenter was John Leslie, I cried when he left and even wrote him a letter - he replied with a really nice reply too.

My favourite pet was Bonnie the Golden Lab.

Will most likely make me feel old!! I remember making an andrex puppy from a lenor bottle. I was so proud it actually looked like the one on blue Peter. I kept that for years

Apparently the Blue Peter dog called "Petra" was a secret stand-in replacement because the original dog died after just one appearance on the show…..

To me the legend that is John Noakes only ever had one rival and that was Peter Duncan…..

As for the female presenters Helen Skelton wins my vote followed closely by Val Singleton

Remember Go With Noakes very well indeed. He'd go to a different place in the UK each week and sample odd local cultures.

Sarah Greene was also a good past presenter.
