I’m very lucky in that my Job takes me word wide and before this job I was in the Royal Navy which also took me to places around the globe.

But only a few days ago on the flight from London to India a guy sitting next to me asked me this question ( after he knew I travelled a lot) Out of all the places you have been what was/or is the best. Well it took me all of one second to reply. The UK, Some of you may think I’m mad, but no. I know we all moan about the weather, traffic the government etc etc. But I love the seasons that we have in the UK, after a cold wet winter, we have the spring with all the colour change and nature going about its business. The summer, going to the beach/park with the kids and BBQ in the back garden with friends. Then my best time of the year autumn, nights closing in the colour change in nature again, bonfire night etc. So for me it’s got to be the UK.

So what’ you best place?

Hmmm RARELY do we ever have all four season's in the order they're meant to be in.

In fact, rarely do we get all four seasons full stop.

This year was yhe best summer we've hsd in about 7 years. .apparently.

For me....MY island and the home I had there was the most wonderful place I have yet come across....the people, the culture, the wind, the rain, the occasional sunshine, the crashing seas, the whales, the dolphins, the gannets puffins etc etc etc

Difficult for me, for as much as I love this country I am fully prepared to be living in Spain after 2015.

It's not only a climate issue for me, it's about quality of life and the lifestyle I enjoy over there.

London

I've visited about 12 countries and seen some amazing sights, but after 10 days or so the only thing I'm longing to see is my front door.

I know what you mean, I have spent the last four years on and off working in Spain and it grows on ya.

For me the best place is somewhere in my head when I'm lost in my own reverie

London

D'you know, I was just thinking the same thing only yesterday as I put on my first pair of thermal tights and DM's of the season and it felt good!

I love to welcome the seasonal changes here, constant sun would have me craving for rain and snow and constant cold would soon have me emigrating somewhere warm.

Don't get me wrong, there are parts of Spain I would never live in as I find them less than appealing. No different than the UK in that respect.
