i was in court friday for financhel settlement ,and was ordered to pay my ex £40,000from my pension as offset, so she had cash for deposit on home for her self ,she told the judge that the property where she lives now,was to expensive and the owner was going to sell soon ,so needed money to buy her own place ,yet her brother as given me copy of the deeds and it shows that her mother and boyfriend bought the property while we were still living together, should i appeal or say good luck to her

I'd ask your legal representative that question, not a handful of folks on a swinging forum

For me...i would appeal showing the details of what you have found out. seems she has hoodwinked the judge

you ask for help writing your profile, I suggest you ask for professional advice when £40 000 is involved

Also if she is claiming for rent on the house, you are not allowed to rent from a relative.

If you can't afford a solicitor you can't afford £40k so why worry?

How long were you married? do you have children under 18? There are lots of deciding factors. I agree she may have been underhanded but there is also a bigger picture I'm sure

Check your various insurance policies - car, house, contents even credit cards. Some of them include legal assistance and it doesn't always apply to the item insured.

I think you can get a free consultation with a solicitor, its worth popping into your nearest Lawyers office to ask the question.

You are allowed free 30 mins with a lawyer. Get the phone book out. Take your evidence with you...

Make sure U chose wisely... Is no good going to one who specialises in a different area of law ....
