There is nothing new under the sun, why should forums be any different to the universal rule?

Any suggestions. I was thinking of an olive branch type thread. Anyone where swords have been croosed, you,ve bitten. Felt harshly treated. Would just be nice for something where apologies and hugs meant collectively it may create a bit more harmony. We don,t all need to get on,or meet. But as best as possible be civil.

Guess who's tired after a night shift.

I think for some it's gone way past an olive branch...

There have been a number of 'Olive Branch' threads in the last few months: several 'newbies and lurkers' threads, the 'show us yer mug shot' ones.. which got as far as thread no. 80+ if I remember correctly.. and so on..

Over the four or five years I have been on here (on and off!) the forums have tended to be cyclical as there is a 'churn' of membership interested in commenting and posting. As long standing members fade away, newbies appear and they often have the same questions, discussion topics etc that other newbies had a year or so earlier.

It's no different in other forums in completely different special interest areas across the internet to be honest. But like all forums, on occasion it takes some of the established members to spot that a malaise has settled and to pep things up a bit...

I think they have become more confrontational and more serious with increasing political threads.

But the only way to change that is for note people to post more fun threads. So let's get going!!!! (and not just kiss fuck avoid ones or any other variation of)

I must admit I find the amount of kiss, snog, avoid threads boring and there are lots of them but I just avoid them. If its not something I find interesting to read then I dont. Its s forum and people can post what they want to (within reason). Also, there are always new people so just because you or I have seen the same thread, they may not have.

it can be rather cyclic...however its best to think about who's posting..try catching their eye..then fuck them

i realise that, and yes i can skip over those repetitive threads and often do, but i'm just not finding many interesting threads at all. i know we should step up and think of something maybe i'm just getting bored of it all ,maybe its time....

The thing is, reading the forum here is not mandatory. And surely most people here are members of other message boards and forums, and see the cyclical posts on those too.

There are two solutions (well probably more but I'm hungover): post some unusual and different posts, or give the forum a bit of a rest. There is no need to leave the site to do so - just go on other websites, get involved in something else, go outside and get some fresh air, etc etc.

What about an amnesty thread , where all the singles posing as couples, the straights that want cock, the pic hunters all out themselves.

Maybe not, it would be a short thread
