I was always taught as a child that if you really want something you should save up for it instead of owing people money, because of that I am a big saver.

But.....when I have saved up I do love to spend.

I am very good at saving money. Although I felt like I have been saving forever so I can buy my first flat. Should have it soon though! Just have to find the right one.

I am also very good at spending it though too. My extensive shoe collection and travel addiction will tell you that....the latter is the reason I have taken so long to save to buy my flat....

While I was working, I was a saver. Now I'm retired, I have become a spender, but that was the plan anyway. By my calculations, I will run out of money (without having to sell my house) by the time I get to 88 years old. If I do!

Sadly a spender and give too much to others which equals debt. I really need to get better with money

As crazy as it sounds it doesn't pay to save !

If things go wrong you spend all your money on care

Spend it while you can enjoy it !

I am a spender and I enjoy doing it. I work hard, long hours and so, when I take a day off I go out and enjoy that time.

Until I retired, we had a special arrangement with our bank whereby they seperated my transactions and my wife's on our bank statements into different columns. Mine were under the column "paid in" and my wife's were under "paid out".

Used to be a spender but years of debt taught me a valuable lesson.

Now debt free and a saver. Love that feeling of wanting something and saving for it. Purchases mean much more when you have put hard graft into getting it.

I am also a slave to the penny jar, it's an obsession. I have 2, 1 for copper, 1 for everthing else. Rhett knows not to leave any change around or it gets swiped

Managed to save £1000 from just £2 coins.

A bit of both really. Save all year for christmas shopping love going to marks and spencer and buying whatever takes our fancy. Hubby does save his every day change and we use that as spending money on our holidays.
