Each will have their own reason as with any couple.

Some may consider it to be an easy option, some may like to have sex with another's partner whilst the partner is there, some may like to show off what studs they believe they are, and some may have swung with a past partner and enjoy the lifestyle.

I'm sure there are other reasons too.

depends how you define "swinging". My mindset was that swinging meant swapping.

I recently had a re-evaluation of the same question and to me swinging now means "no strings attached sex between consenting adults"

swingers have a common interest and the evening doesnt always end up in bed, indeed i've met couples and singles in the past just as a social visit, sex is just the extra perk

but not a necessity all the time

im a very happily single lady totally in charge of my own destiny....but i love men and all they have to offer.Im here because i like to meet people of the same mind set who arent really going to invade my space or waste my precious time . Ive made loads of friends too over the 4 years some i still have sex with some i dont ,ive made business contacts and been given opportunities to go places i would never have been .....Its never a given that i have sex with someone i meet there always the NO button to press ...but for me its a lifestyle that works in every way ....for now ....you never know what is round your corner which makes life very interesting .....

"swinging" is really the modern name for casual, no strings attached, sex between consenting adults, that has to my mind, evolved since the sixties when it meant swapping partners.

Lots of couples whether married or not, like to introduce and invlove other people into their sex lives

Well there you have it, we are all human, regardless of if we have a partner or not, we can all have the same desires etc.

For me, although I have not met anyone through a site as a single, I have joined in with couples, and for me it was the sight of what was going on as well as being involved in it all, I guess it could be likened to real life interaction porn.

Unfortunate circumstances made me a swingle. I have had some great times swinging and made some very good friends along the way. For us, and me now it is the lifestyle. swinging is like any other hobby or interest, they all have one thing in common,,,, more than one person has the same interest, married people can have an interest in football, swimming,walking,rambling,as can single people, it's all about interaction with like minded people, be they single or married or just living together, why should a single person who swing's be any different to a couple who swing ?

I suspect my reasons for being here are not too different to why most couples are here.

As a more mature fem and bieng alone, i still wanted an active sex life but didnt want to go along the same lines as friends who would go out friday and sat night, get rat arsed and shag anything that showed any interest.

And regret it the following morning...

I wanted a clean and safe environment and with like minded folk who hopefully became friends .

SO ....curiosity got the better of me 10yrs + ago and here i still am.

Met loads of people , some who are still mates..

Done things i never thought i would

And all done safely and cleanly with no regrets as such...
