although its flattering to recieve messages, why do people from hundreds of miles away message asking for a meet, no ones that desperate surly???

Some may be Genuine and some may Travel a lot like me, I message People from all over the Country as I travel so much.

There are those that just want Friends to add and there must be desperate Folk as well

I'd just ignore them then, at the end of the day you can choose who to have contact with and who not to bother with so take your pick and move on

we do however was wandering what they hoped to gain from it, maybe one in ten comes back a yes, i don t know

I guess it's because in your profile you state 'can travel', now they ain't gonna know how far you can travel unless they ask

As someone stated here, there are some people that travel some distance, so if they liked your profile then why not ask.

I travel because I like travelling. Half the fun of it for me is that you meet people you wouldn't normally BECAUSE they are so far away and if you didn't have the net, you obviously wouldn't bump into them. I don't want to just go around people who happen to be in my area just because they're there. It's cool if I like them but I'm not doing it just for the sake of it. I'd rather meet sound people who I'm fairly certain will become long term friends - and so far it's working. I also don't see why everyone else should be expected to come to me just coz I'm a single female. I'm one of these feministy-ish types who believes in equality - and not just when it applies in my favour!

Oh and also because I'm desperate

It's also because I chat in the chat rooms and a lot of the people I 'click' with are in there, and a lot of the time they don't live near me. I've done chat rooms for years and met some of my best mates from them. This is no different for me - other than the fact there is the option of sex if all involved so choose to do it. All swinging for me is a social to begin with whether it's with a single guy, a couple, a girl, a group, whatever ... if the chemistry's there it will become more, if it's not, it won't! But either way, a good night is usually had and no trip is fruitless

As a swingle I am free to go wherever I like and as it happens I love to see other parts of the country. So if it's a meet for a night I have in the past made a weekend of it and take in the views as well.

Why would they need to be desperate to meet you? We've actually met up with a lovely couple near John O'Groats - quite a distance for us to travel but we were touring Scotland on our bikes so planned it in advance. Just because people may live a distance away it doesn't automaticaly rule them out from meeting you! Z

Some people travel, some have holiday homes, caravans and maybe they just like the look of you and are prepared to travel and book a hotel near you. If your unsure just ask them as it wouldn't take any longer than posting this thread.

some are probably just desperate and mailing everyone in sight, but for others they might think that even if someone is miles away, if you talk for long enough and get on well enough, then travelling a long way doesnt seem like such a big deal.

personally, if i do a search, i just look for people in the north west. i'll have a nosey at other peoples pics sometimes too though
