For the Sarah Palin fans (fan?) out there.

"Hi. This is Sarah Palin. Is Senator Lieberman in?"

"No, governor. This is Rosh Hashanah."

"Well, hello, Rosh. Can I leave a message?"

The humus I make myself, the pita and falafel from the supermarket (if i can ever find falafel decent enough to eat - I'd rather go without otherwise) and the wine I get from my dad ... he makes it very well indeed.

Sure, it's not what you'd call traditional but what the hell... I like it.

Just realised it's been exactly 25 years to the day that I experienced one of the most amazing events of my life - I won't bore you with the details other than it was one of the more notable new years of modern times.

Thank you for returning me to that memory ... bitter-sweet though it may be.
