Don't Have A Car.....

Leeds.

Hi Jackie here.

As the title suggests, we don't have our own transport and we can't accommodate due to kids. We understand this somewhat limits our scope for meets. But we do look for meets that are as local as is possible. We also ask politely if the man would mind picking us up and dropping us off afterwards. As I said, we look for local meets in order to keep traveling time andvdistance to a minimum.

Is it fair that we should be criticised for this and called cheeky and selfish ? Yes there is the taxi option. But we tried this and the address we arrived at was an elderly couple who looked quite bewildered when we arrived and they we're happily gardening. So we won't be falling for that again.

So honest opinions please. We're offering to give someone a night of fun. Is it so unfair, cheeky and selfish that we ask for their assistance to do this ?

Jackie x

Not at all. You have explained the reasons, those wishing to meet will understand.

Just like any other information on profiles, would like.... won't meet.....

Why not ask if they would pick you up and get a taxi home. Personally expecting both, sorry, yes I do find a little cheeeky. That would help with the porevious situation without taking advantage

if they want to meet you enough they wont mind. if not its too bad, if theres not much else you can do about it.

Just a thought, do you offer to pay fuel cost if they are going to pick you up and drop you off. If you do then I see no problem.

I don't drink so if we are meeting people who are reasonably local and they are coming to us I will generally offer to pick them up and drop them off so they can have a drink if they like.

So no I don't think you are in the wrong asking. We certainly wouldn't mind

I do think it's a bit cheeky to ask, but if he offered then I don't see a problem.

I guess in the fake address you went to, you did talk to them beforehand?

I see nothing wrong in asking to be picked up and dropped off if the distance is not too far I.e 5 to 10 miles , lets be honest there are thousands pf single guys looking for meets so its not a huge sacrifice to make for a meet with a couple , I'd have no problem doing this of I was a so fake looking for a meet

Yes. We had a phone chat and the address was given that way. When we tried to ring the number from outside the house we arrived at the the phone was off and never on again. Luckily the taxi was still there so we got straight home.
