I love it by the way.

Never get time during daylight hours to get to a bank, and its a bit risky going when they're shut

No, sorry. I'm being quite serious. I've done in the last 15 minutes or so what it could easily have taken half a day of real time plus there's something less painful about handing over electronic money.

Online banking brilliant invention. The banks that have apps though are even better

Telephone Banking is shit and I can't believe banks used to make people sign up to it.

Yeah it's bloody genius. And the app is even better I only have to enter 3 digits and I'm in! Not been in an actual bank for months

I had to recently when I thought it would be a good idea to do telephone banking as my computer was playing up. End up going repeatedly to sort out the same problem. Ain't been in one for ages before that or since

Whilst I appreciate that online banking can save time, and is very handy - do pop into your local branch every now an again - otherwise they will go the same way as the post offices!

I've got the Halifax one and it's great. Do all my banking on there unless I want to make a payment to a new recipient. Then I need to do that on the desktop site.

I m paid in cash or cheques so its not an option for me,,,

It would be so much easier than standing in queues once or twice a week,,

Online banking simplifies so many things for me personally , great having ' at a glance ' ..information available 24/7 ...doubtless it has caused redundancies within The industry ...one mans meat ....

I remember a customer of mine, through work, telling me 20 years ago that we would soon be doing online shopping. i couldn't think of anything worse! still don't like it. But for many people it is a godsend x so as you say...........one mans meat

agreed..

I do use it for checking balances and sending money to the kids accounts etc but still use the bank itself for as much as I can..

They're already going the same way as Post Offices but not for the same reason.

I find it strange that people still find actually going into a bank branch uncomfortable, the way it was before drink voucher dispensers.

You'll see people queueing 5-5 deep outside a branch to use the machine whilst there's nobody at the counters and the machine inside (the one least likely to have been tampered with) is lying idle.

They all can be secure even phone banking it all is down to passwords and log in checks.
