If your referring to normal clubs then yeah as you reach the mid twenties mark you do find that most of the people in there are like late teens to early twenties ...lol.

Rock City in Nottingham isn't too far away from me, and as a rock/biker type person, have been quite a few times over the years

No I dont feel too old, there are plenty of people out and about in bars and clubs of all ages. If I want to do something I will, I go and wear what I like regardless of my age

Anyone over 35 (and that's pushing it) should understand that they will be the subject of much sniggering and pisstaking behind their backs. And trust me it will and does happen.Even worse is if they wear young fashions. That should be a criminal offence.

My son feels similar and I've had him ring me at midnight asking me to come and collect him from town. He says it just doesn't feel the same anymore.

As for me at twice your age most definitely way too old

I think you are never to old and we proved that by attending the nightclub Xtasias.....was a PHUKT rave night till 5am and was absolutely brilliant

Rare you get a club full of swingers who wanna dance as well as have fun

Cant wait for the next rave

xxx

Try a different club, there does tend to be a tight age range at all clubs. We are way past the club scene, and like others prefer rock / biker pubs & clubs, but on the odd occasion still pop into a club that caters mainly for the 30+ age group.

That's fine but not exactly a "run of the mill" night club was it? I was under the impression OP was referring to the clubs in city centres wher young people go.

The Town by The Cross

You've just matured in your tastes and need something else.

I'd still go into a club for a one off if we were having a laugh at ourselves and reminiscing but not as a regular night out.

Clubs are really for individual egos. You are probably at that stage when you realise it's WHO you are with that matters and not really what you are doing. I tend to think that clubs don't do much to develop friendships.

If it leaves you empty there are lots of other things to do. You may even go back to a club every now and then. You don't have to drop things all together or forever.

At 27&28 we have felt its not our scene for the last few years. Just past it now. Been there, done it. Sort of thing.

We would rather go to a pub or stay in the house and drink with friends now

When I go out in town I feel old. I hate it, crap music, kids that can't handle their drink, and puke everywhere. Bores me to tears.

However, I'm a raver, have been for years, and I don't feel old at raves. Because I'm a psy-trance girl the age range is huge, basically nights full of everyone from 18 year old crusties to ageing hippies. I love the diversity of the rave scene. And the fact that you don't get obnoxious piss heads who try to touch you up every time you walk past them.

When I lived in Mancland, I used to go to Rock City often. There were also a rock club in Sheffield I used to go to too... All 8pm - 8am... Awesome nights, No hotel needed, just flake out in some corner somewhere lol

London

On the rare occasion I go to clubs it's on revival nights where the attendees are my peers and we still have the original vinyl of the tunes they're playing.

Would I go to a club my daughters attend and dress my size 24 body in batty riders, cropped tops and skyscraper stilettos?!! ...yeah...right!

Personally I know when it's time to go and sit down!

Even worse when the older men start "dad dancing".Unless you are Johnny Depp or Elle McPherson you just can't compete with younger folks. You look stupid.
