I sometimes get the feeling that instead of just hiding their profile some people leave it open when not looking knowing they will get mail so they can moan about it, post on the forums thus attraction more attention and messages

Change the profile content to simply say "Not meeting at present"

Of course you shouldn't 'have to' hide your profile....... just like you don't 'have to' rewrite it. I mean you could change the title to 'Not Meeting'... you could put 'Not Meeting' in the opening line. You could remove 'safe sex' from the 'looking for' section (which is often used as a search filter).

Or you could do fuck all and let it annoy you.

That doesn't work. My profile is quite clear. When I say have you not read my profile, I'm not meeting... They normally reply that they saw I wasn't but thought they would try their luck.

I just reply to decent messages. Delete the others.

I've had my profile hidden and e Europe blocked via mail filters, still get messages. It's not a big inconvenience and not something I'd ever moan about on the forums.

It clearly says on my profile I'm not meeting currently only using the forums, if people want to message me, their choice......doesn't change that I'm not meeting
