Would love longer hair but it drives me mad once it get's to a certain stage so end up having it chopped again. No patience to grow it that's my trouble.

Recently cut a lot of mine off as I will be 45 soon and I always thought it was a bit like mutton dressed as lamb to have long hair as a more mature woman but I changed my mind... I am just a long hair person so I am growing it back.

I had long hair my whole life, then when I was pregnant I was sick of being too hot and struggling to straighten it so had it cut into a bob. Then it went into a graduated bob and now one side is short and the other is chin length and I'm finally happy with it! So much easier to manage!

I have long black hair and i thought 2 yrs ago i was too old for it so had it cut into a bob i regretted it immediately and have grown it back since even longer than it was i think it looks good on me long and when i get mine to the length i want it i shall have nice layers cut into it but i will never go short again

I've had long hair since I was 14 until last year. And I miss it and can't wait for it to be long again.

The irony is that apart from it drying much more quickly, short hair involves more faffing than long ever did!

I used to have really long hair half way down my back and loved it but had it all chopped off when I turned 40 because I thought I should look a bit more grown up even if I'm not, so I love long hair even if it's not my own now.

Short hair is fine too as long as it's not too short and you can still grab it if the mood takes you.

After having very long hair as a child I have had shorter styles all my adult life but started growing it about three years ago. Its now mid length (hangs half way down my shoulder blades) and I love it the length it is. I also love the fact that with a good cut I can wash it and leave it to dry naturally instead of having to style it daily as I did when it was short!

I went to bed chewing 3 of those mega big bubble gums and woke up with it stuck to the back of my neck.....a serious mess as my hair was long and curly down to my bottom.

The hairdresser cut it down to get rid of it and I've had short...very short hair since. I like it that way. It does not need perming, straightening, drying...it just is! Now I only take 30 minutes to be ready to go out
