You don't have to stay the whole night if you rent a hotel room. Just for the time you want it.

Unfortunately as you have both said you can't accommodate your choices are limited.

Thanks guys

Didn't think Hotels did day rate anymore. Also to be frank leaves a trail on the debit / credit card

Go to a bnb probably cheaper and dependent where they are alot dont have card payment method....

day rates arnt usually given now but chk.in as early as you can n stay as long as you can

Pay by cash...just as a walk in guest not pre book

if u do try to pre book just say u dont have a card and take it from there.

Travelodges will accept cash providing you show them photo ID. And if booked in advance don't work out very expensive on an 'hourly' rate!

Or just man up and use a card!

Q... So why you worried that your card would leave a trail? Are you married or attached??

York

Go to the hole in the wall and withdraw cash for the hotel.

I doubt your wife checks your bank account on a daily basis.

You can get travel lodge or even premier inns for as little as £30

If you can't even spend £30 without an inquisition I think possibly she's on to you and you may eventually be caught out for cheating!

If you have all the answers as to how things won't work why ask the question then??

In a crisp poke on the A814

Dump the meet and meet someone who can accommodate

As someone who uses hotels for about 220 nights a year, just pay cash & don't tell em your not staying overnight. They really won't care.

Travellodge & premier inn are good cheap options or try a site like late rooms or booking.com they have good deals.
