Worrying can be helpful when it spurs you to take action and solve a problem. But if you’re preoccupied with “what ifs” and worst-case scenarios, worry becomes a problem. They can sap your emotional energy send your anxiety levels soaring and interfere with your daily life....... At times I worry about allsorts and then when its sorted and I am Sure why at one time I was a overeater and had times when I have not wished to get out of bed and face people for days .. it do pass after a time but I was thinking how do you all cope with worry ....... I am a positive person but at times no matter how positive I still worry about things. xx

I just get peed off about working f/t and still living in a state of permanent skintness.

There was an interesting programme on the radio the other month with a psychology prof saying people spend a vast amount of their time living in alternative 'what if' worlds in their heads. What if I could stop doing this?

The Town by The Cross

I'm not a worrier Jo.

The world keeps on turning what ever choice you make.

Recognising the things you CAN control and learning to roll with the things you CAN'T and enjoying the rolling makes life easier to manage.

~There are very few things that matter and people make such big issues of stupid stuff... then they worry about it.

Good advice. And I certainly second the last paragraph.

I frequently ask myself 'what if' and it does sometimes kind of take over and consume me. I guess really the way to think is that what's done is done, can't change that so just look forward and move on - difficult though

I can't help worrying about some things but other things don't bother me. I wallow in the worry because I know it will pass and the sun will rise again tomorrow. x

Need to know basis

Someone suggested NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) to help with my anxiety and it worked for me. I both read books and also found an NLP master...a few sessions and I was able to be in control rather than let things control me xx

What it's are just that, you make your choice and have to live with it. Regrets are what happens when something does not turn out the way you would have liked.

I do not really worry, I fill my days doing things or remembering good times.

I was always told worrying is one of the minds ways of processing what has past to see if there is a way of improving. Worrying brings on stress if left unchecked and that is never a good thing.

My grandmother favourite saying was "smile be happy"

Anxiety is an addiction to adrenaline, the more you worry, the more your craving wants you to worry. You can stop this by diverting yourself if your in a funk, keep busy, take up something else that creates adrenaline and be addicted to that

Its not funny laughing at someone who is worse off than you - its really sad for them and cruel for you to laugh at them

Im a worrier n have been shown a worry tree where u look at wot ur worrying about & decide if u can do anything about it and if u cant u need to put it away as its not constructive its hard work as its easy to slip back into it
