Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

The SIZE of the spider that just walked along my sofa.

I'm all for having spiders in the house, not liking flies very much, but I swear I could see tattoos on the legs, it was so big.

I've had two giant ones walk across the living room floor this evening. I'm just a little worried that they have walked into the bedroom for their tryst.

They seem bigger this year.

They are bigger than ever this year, they really are tarantula size and I am absolutely terrified. You'd think in this day and age there would be done kind of prevention, spider proofing the house like they do for damp etc.

Why do they want to come in, it's nice enough weather outside, no need for them to come inside.

I do kill them, well I don't cos I'm scared of them, but they are killed and I scream until they are. I could not stay in a house if I knew a spider was in it

I had one in the bathroom cupboard, had blooming hobnail boots on. Put toilet paper away around it and told my housemate. Not a good idea as when she used the last of the toilet paper she didn't get another out

I was having great fun watching a couple of spiders playing the mating game a few days ago after Jen came screaming out of the bathroom.

The easy option woulda been to trap and move them or swat them, but I watched them for about 20 minutes, him trying to approach his overly sized mate, pacify her to get his own way and get away cleanly.

Unfortunately my step-son burst through the door at the wrong moment, alarming the little male, about 2 minutes later she caught up with him and that was that.

I felt for the lil bugger...

Here's a trick....Conkers (the kind you find on a tree ) A few of them placed close to windows will scare them away!

I dont mind spiders at all, will happily let them wander about....

BUT...about 2 weeks ago I found one in my kitchen sink, it was feckin HUGE!!! Gave me a fright!

It was dead, had to poke it with a knife to make sure (I know they like to play dead when in water) as I didnt want this one roaming about the house!
