No you perverted lot

I've been away for the weekend and she's now cold and lethargic

She's currently sitting on my chest, eyes are bright, and nose twitching ......

Could it be a premature hibernation ?

Get some twigs and build a pyre, then have a cremation ceremony. Lay it to rest on like a bed of matches and set light.

Play it out with the lemmiwinks song from South Park!!

Always sad. The loss we feel is a measure of how their life added to our own whether we realised it or not.

I've had 2 cats die over the year's both long-term pets, I cried like a baby.My kids pets have died at various times and I had to console them, my daughter who is 23, lost her bearded dragon after only a short lifespan she was in bits so was I and I had to bury my budgie after 9 years, long post I know but we get attached and pets can leave a big gap in our lives.

Sorry Hun! Unfortunately hamsters dont live very long.

I just had my childhood dog pass away from an abdominal tumor, it was totally unsuspected as she was only having exploratory surgery. We thought she swallowed something. Not a nice thing especially with little ones Mrs xx

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Awww sorry about your hammy. Mine 'died' 3 times. I warmed him up on the radiator and he was fit as a fiddle, then again, and the final time was 4 months after the first. You may want to check the box again before the burial.

Sorry to hear that, I used to have them as kids so later on in life bought one for one of the children. It wasn't getting looked after so I took it with me when I worked away from home - got quite attached to her.

If you are burying her maybe get a house brick you can paint and then let your daughter paint the name on it too and you can counter sink it in the ground over the top. It'll always be there and i think from a childs point of view its nice to do one final tging. From a practical point of view it will help deter vermin from grave robbing. Had that once and as a grieving child it's not nice to find that a week later.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Are u ABSOLUTELY SURE she is dead

Same thing happened to hamster of mine years ago while I was away n person looking after it thort it dead n wrapped in newspaper n placed in dustbin

When I came home I went to check n was STILL alive!!!!!!!!

Warm it in a hot water bottle n blanket cos they go into a suspended state that resembles death n it can take some hours for body temp to rise

We used to pop ours in a shoe box and in the oven on a very very low temp with door open and within 30 min you'd here the scratching of a living hamster.
