Unless you have been told otherwise, stick them out as normal.

If you get it wrong, some jumped up prick from the council, will soon be around to tell you of your life changing mistake.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Since ours have been sub-contracted out they come on Bank Holidays now. The only days that things change are for Christmas and Easter.

I'd put them out.

Write to yr MP n have a word wiv ya local citizens advice (if it ain't been closed down)

The govt don't like folk going off at a tangent making random decisions of their own

You are quite right. You don't want Eric Pickles after you.

See what I don't get is...they miss bank holiday monday here, putting everyone else a day behind, my collection is usually Friday so they will come on Saturday. Why would they rather come on Saturday than work on the Monday?

Titz Towers, North Notts

Check for the OAP on your street who always knows when the bins are out. I believe every street has an OAP who is expert in such things.

The bin men would rather have double time for bank holiday working.

The council would rather pay time and a half for Saturday.

Ours gets complicated with recycling collected every week and general waste every other week. Make sure you know which week you're on.
