"love it What do you like about it?"

in work: busy busy busy with people management and all it's challenges

so downtime is silence and that is how I like it....

Since my sons left the family home and we downsized dramatically, added to the fact that my other half works away Five or Six days a week for most of the year....I get to spend a lot of time in my own company, and I love it.

Having spent much of my adult life entrapped in the confines of an offshore drilling rig where privacy and solitude were almost unknown commodities….!.

So now I’m retired I don’t struggle with my own company at all, although there are times when I miss the companionship that forced environment provided…

As for my personal life…

I’d much rather not be alone but that’s not how things turned out…! ,,,

No its not you can live with someone and be lonely...I cherish the time I have when its just me in the house.. I can do that for a period of time then I get bored...However I have never lived on my own for long periods of time..

I love spending time by myself. I actually think I am a solitary person by nature and feel quite content in my own company. I need a lot more personal space than a lot of people I think, and if I don't get it I get really grumpy and agitated.
