sadly i have never had any memorable valentines presents, even when i lived with a fella for 3 years all i got were crappy stuffed toys with 'i love you' on them

A world of my own

Personally I would prefer one red rose, or someone to do something special or nice and thoughful for me, something from the heart, rather than an overblown expensive gift.

Yellow roses for me, not one for red roses, never have.

I too prefer something from the heart.

However, I do not believe presents should only be restricted to special occassions, like birthdays, Christmas and Valentines Day.

If I see something that I know one of my nearest and dearest would like, then I would buy and give it to them right away.
