Just bought an e-cig from pound land and I have to say it's quite good, a satisfying smoke and it says that it's the equivalent to 10 cigarets we will see going to go back and buy 3 and see how I get on with them, but at the moment they are so much easier than carrying some dead leaves wrapped in paper that I have set on fire

Tbh I like the idea of ten fags costing a quid lol but there has to be as much nicotine in them as in cigarette smoke so I'm not sure that they are the way to give up, it would be like trying to quit booze buy stopping drinking vodka and drinking whiskey instead lol

I gave up smoking on them, great if you want to quit, I now only use mine once or twice a day.

If agree too in fact the e cig made me cough too much as it was too strong but good for you as I think I'm missing out on some really sexy people because they won't meet smokers

I am not judging you and have not displayed an excessively critical point of view...just expressing my feelings. I like you and was just a little disappointed that your profile contradicted your thread... If it was an omission then you have my apologies. I am an ex smoker, started at the age of 13 and only quit 2 years ago. Contrary to a lot of ex smokers I do like the taste of a smoker and that is the problem...it gives me a kick and I do not need to be tempted...too easy to go back to it. I hope you understand.

I would never have quit without Champix. I tried everything else...and yes I had seriously disturbing dreams and seriously sexy dreams...but I would use it again if I had a relapse!

All the best of luck and plenty of strength to all who are trying to quit...its a hard path and a long road!

ie o2 - football grounds - concerts halls

n some pubs n clubs

but do check in 1st

but not on public transport

I don't recall seeing the op mentioning he is trying to give up smoking, just said he'd tried an e cig. Just interesting an assupmtion seems to have been made that folks using e cigs are trying to give up smoking.

As an ex smoker who really enjoyed his time slowly inducing suicide……

I have to say good luck to anyone with whatever method successfully seduces them away from using that poison tobacco to get their fix of nicotine...

Can't you get reducing amounts of nicotine in the cartridges? Start with a fairly high dose and reduce it.. Better than fags any day!

I'm going to get an e-cig this weekend. I really need to quit. Got chronic bronchitis and the only way it's going to improve is by giving up the dreaded fags. Will get one for my OH as well.

Worth a try.
