Going to the football with my dad. Drinking hot chocolate to warm myself up and screaming when we scored, giving him a big hug in celebration.

Going to my Mum's at this yime of year, a huge greenhouse, full of tomatoes, picking them off the vine and biting into them. I have tomatoes growing in my garden and whenever I touch them the smell takes me back to my Mum's

Near Bristol

Obviously my close family and friends who have passed on.

Also surprises ... life seems so formulaic now ... time to inject some spontaneity into life!

no matter

I miss days out with the kids.. seeing them enjoy the holidays we shared ..running back from rides laughing and chatting.

Generally the whole caring nurturing thing. Miss also the future without grandchildren. That is quite painful these days.

I'm lucky enough to still have my parents and sister.

I couldn't give a flying f##k about any of my ex's.

I miss my dog . She was a loyal friend and confident for over 16yrs and passed-on last September. I miss her every day.

What do I miss? Countless moments with my Dad, but the No.1 for me would be when I was left alone with my younger son just a few minutes after he was born and I got to hold him without any interference from his Mother, who was in an operating theatre. I have no idea if it was due to these few minutes alone together in which we might have done a bit of Father/Son bonding, but - even though I hate to say it - I always felt closer to him than my eldest.. maybe as a result..??

ted.

I miss my summers as a teen. I used Togo clubbing all night, then off to the beach St around 9am, sleep on the sand ( and tan) all morning then have a great beach day and do it all again in the evening !
