Time for a new car soon, do you think I should go for the BMW M3 or the Mercedes C63 AMG. The BMW is cheaper and both have similar performance so it's a tough choice, any help

I've driven both, the M3 is a lot of fun when you plant your foot, the AMG is a lovely motor as well, I'd personally go with the AMG..

It'd be the M3 for me, I assume you mean the E46 shape?

Whilst these cars have become more affordable to buy they are still not cheap to run If that isn't an issue though go for it, only you can decide ultimately and you'd need to test drive both to see which suits how you like to drive best

They are magnificent cars absolutely outstanding I nearly gush myself when I see it , when I hear the engine growl I do gush myself and chris nearly spunky hisself lmao !

I would go for the M3. Simple choice until Mercedes get their build quality sorted!! As for an old mans car? Just like Volvo, I'm afraid..

Never had any problems with my BM's! (But I may just be lucky in that I have them "looked after"!) lol

The merc is a car for my dad but if that's the way you want to go. The M3 is glorious responsive and bliss to drive for the last 50k but I wouldn't spend my money on it but am pleased the big boss got me one so if you have a choice you will be smiling all year with an M3.

Some cars are Rovers were referred to as old guys cars and Honda had that image for a long time you get MX5's referred to as hairdressers cars along with Audi TTs and the old Porsche 924s its the image they portray and who buys them. Go to a golf club see the Mercs lined up and check out the silver hair chaps in the bar or on the greens.

I know lots of people that have had problems with the amg though. So my vote would be the bmw.

But then again.. I own a old Alfa.. so some may think my car choices are a bit mental. Lol

The Merc is a great car with a great engine, but, there's a good reason the M3 is still around and still popular....It's the best car of its type and has been for a couple of decades.

Yeah, its a two seater. I got to look at the pre-production model at Goodwood and it looks better in the flesh than in the pictures. I'm looking forward to driving one next year when they go on sale...

I'm with you on the M3, it is the better car, slightly cheaper to run too.

That's actually a good suggestion.

The Quattroporte or the 3200GT are great cars and can be had for peanuts, plus, they're a bit more exclusive than the BM or Merc.

I'd avoid the Audi at all costs unless you actually enjoy understeer...

I got a fiat coupe turbo modded. Looks like a little Ferrari and almost goes like one too. Cheap on insurance as its not seen as a sports car lol suckers! So much fun for so little cost. Fuel is a bit crazy though only getting about 15 mpg as its modded but well worth it
