Best to keep a vacuum cleaner away from pc bits as they can build up static.

Take laptop outside and blow it off with compressed air is the best bet. Where you source your compressed air from I don't know

Probably not a constant enough flow of air and whilst pumping you might jab something on the laptop you don't want to jab.

As Angel said you can get compressed air in a tin for such things Mites are quite small though and likely to be inside the laptop too so you may have to take it apart to give it a thorough blast out.

I don't find taking laptops apart that much fun myself and I build my own desktop PC's. There are always screws hidden under covers, rubber bungs etc. I'm not sure what else to suggest though.

Obviously moisture is going to potentially damage components in your laptop but I'm trying to think how you could get your laptop into a freezer as I believe that kills mites too? I wouldn't like to recommend this though in case it does go wrong.

I just had a quick google on this and it seems a common solution is to seal your laptop in a plastic bag with mothballs for a couple of days.

That has to be worth a shot surely?

So after a pm ... These critters areole likely to be mould mites.

I've recently had my carpet cleaned and I keep the laptop under my sofa, carpet had possibly still been damp and the laptop hasn't been used for a week, this would make more sense.

It's still a mite so I'd hope the mothball trick might work still?

If you've been using your laptop though and the mites are still alive I still wouldn't be 100% sure they are mould mites as your laptop will get pretty warm when in use. I'm really hoping you haven't got mould growing inside your laptop, it will not be a fun job removing that!

I wouldn't be keeping your laptop under the sofa anymore either as that is the kind of place most mites would like to populate.
