Waxing is in our opinion better than shaving.

We have hot waxing, better than strip waxing.

Mrs takes a painkiller before waxing, me no sense, no pain, just a good natter & laugh while having it done with the lovely lady who waxes us.

However one thing we do and it works wonders for us, is after either waxing or shaving I have a tub with a mixture of Olive oil and sea salt in, then after each bath or shower we just simply rub a good amount onto our waxed area and to date we have never suffered from rash, itchiness or ingrowing hair.

I personally doesn't think it hurts.

The more you have it done, the less you'll feel it being done and ladies can also have artwork done after the waxing.

Go for it, enjoy it and feel great

I wax my bits once a month. Will never get used to the pain. It hurts like shit!!!

Make sure you do it at a reputable salon for hygiene and safety reasons (don't want nasty burns there).

Gradually you'll get less and less hair so if you ever want to go back to the "full bush" look (even if it is just a landing strip) you might struggle to have enough pubes left to regain coverage (not sure if I am making sense).

I personally think it is worth it as it lasts so much longer and the skin feels so much smoother.

Good luck!

I have been waxed for years and yes it stings for a second or two but really not that bad.

Find somewhere you are comfortable. I personally don't like anyone too young waxing me, just my choice.

Take a painkiller as someone suggested and relax..

On day two start exfoliating and do it regularly.

"What does exfoliating do?? X"

It stops you getting ingrown hairs, it basically gently takes the top layer of skin off allowing the new hair growth to come through rather than curl under the skin. Ingrown hairs can be nasty

A gentle facial exfoliator, I use the simple one as it has no perfume (perfumed on lady bits is not good) and I use it when I shower.

Use all over for nice soft skin...

Forget all those costly creams etc, trust me Olive oil and Sea Salt mixed together and rubbed onto your skin is great.

Mrs also uses foliating glove for some reason.

Natural is simplicity

That is such an important thing isn't it. I am glad it's not just me who thinks like that

The ladywho waxes me is brilliant, she doesn't bat an eyelid regardless of what positions I am in.

I make an 70 mile round trip to get waxed...just because of her

I let hubby shave me right now. It's actually pretty fucking hot. I have been thinking about waxing lately but I am also scared of the pain.

I have been waxing for over 10 years and every 4-6 weeks. I'm not gonna lie, when you first start doing it, it does hurt like hell. But after you have been doing it for a little while it starts hurting less and less as the hair follicle becomes weaker. And I have much less hair there now because the follicles eventually start to die apparently after you do it for quite awhile.

I have been doing it for so long now it hardly hurts at all, and really on one tiny soft spot now. In and out in 10 mins I am - have been seeing the same waxer for years.

You do look like a plucked chicken for a day afterwards. Like others have said above, a couple of days afterwards start exfoliating and do it every few days. I use an exfoliator glove. Aloe vera gel helps as well to make the redness go down and it is really soothing.

As for ingrown hairs - exfoliating really does help keep them at bay. Although saying that, I had a really nasty one a few months back and it was one of those really deep painful ones. Took ages to go away but that was an unusual thing for me!

Waxing isn't for everyone, but if you have never waxed your bikini area before I would suggest starting with just a standard bikini line first to get yourself used to it, and then work your way up to the whole lot off (if that's the way you want to go) after a few times of waxing.

But I do recommend going with hot wax rather than strip wax. Strip wax is MUCH more painful and not all places use hot wax so make sure you check.

Good luck!

How long before the stubble appears with waxing?

"How long before the stubble appears with waxing?"

To be honest, that all depends on how good the waxer is! Some waxers aren't very good and rip the hair off rather than pulling it out at the root. For me it's about 2 weeks before the stubble appears, and then another 2 weeks for it to be just long enough to wax again.
