Is the friend zone line just a polite way of saying I do not want to take this any farther than we are.

Not necessarily.

There is much greater value in a good friendship than a quick shag.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Well sometimes there are men that I like, but don't want to shag (shocking, I know!), so we become friends.

im in the friend zone with a friend i have had sex with and im ok with that.

i would rather see her as a friend than try to push for more,

we still have jokes about what we did around peopel that dont know about us

so its all good

possibly, has someone met you socially and said "I'd like to meet again but just as friends?" in that case I'd say yes it does mean that

No I am not talking about some of here.

It is someone I know for a few years. we are good friends talk a far bit. Any she kept tell me how nice I am, that I a keeper I make a very good husband and so on. So I asked her if she like to start seeing me more regularly, I that I was not asking to jump into her bed. She said no she does not want to as she values my friendship too much and does not want risk losing that.

This sort of thing has happen a lot to me.

I see, I understand now. I know a guy who says the same thing happens to him too. Women also tell him he's too nice a lot as well.

I'd still say that it does mean that she wants to remain your friend platonically only.
