Supermarket wars?

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

No, not between differing supermarkets but the war between customers to get their hands on reduced products!

I was at my local supermarket which has now had to resort to taking the goods to be reduced off the shop floor where they can carry out re-pricing in comfort before bringing the trolley back out so the piranas can devour the reduced goods! Last week I saw one man literally pull nets of oranges out of someone else`s hand such was his need to get his hands on them. Staff at the delicatessent counter were standing and watching the spectacle with some amusement. This week it looked like they were trying to hold back putting out the reduced goods until later in the evening! Previously I`ve seen two women of Asian appearance with a small trolley loaded to the brim with salad leaves! And this happens week after week too and it`s hardly because I live and shop in a deprived area! You then see these people loading their shopping into cars much better than I will ever own so you can safely say it isn`t people on low incomes who are grabbing these goods but almost certainly owners of small resteraunts and the like!

Anyone else seen this?

Seen it in Sainsbury tonight. A respectable looking gent of oriental decent, blocking anyone else from getting to the counter with his trolly held tight, loading as much meat as he could. Might be the Yorkshireman in me, but even at the reduced price I would have got it cheaper at my local butcher

Several weeks ago in my local Tesco I witnessed a vile and venomous exchange, full of racist insults between a Chinese lady and and Indian lady - all over the reduced isle items.

I told some bloke today to stop looking at the reduced quiches for 10 mins and get out the way...it annoys me....I see people load their trolley with reduced goods and I saw a women load about 5 of the same reduced items in her trolley...I think it's just greed allow others to have some of it,.....

They are always at it near me

Usually they come in gangs so no one else gets there

nightly performance around 9pm in our local morrisons, have seen trolleys deliberately rammed out of the way, in their haste to feed at the reduced trough

We had a young lad used to do final reductions at the same time every evening, got his own regular fan base, which used to p him off greatly, one evening he got his own back, loaded all the reduced stuff into a trolley walk the whole shop, every isle (not a small supermarket), with them following in hot pursuit, took the trolley out the back disposed of it all in the bin, then calmly walked past the vultures, sorry customers and put the empty trolley outside. They were not happy, wastage was high that night but oh so very worth it

Maybe the same reason "black" is inserted wherever possible, not least by blacks themselves? Almost without exception unnecessary. But they do.

The freegans ate well that night!

As far as I am concerned it's first come first served. Half the time the amount taken off is tiny, and you can find own brand cheaper anyway. Now M&S are great when the yellow stickers come out. I do tend to keep an eye on the shop workers if I see them plying their sticker machines.

Sorry, yes you're right.

So the other day I was in my local Tesco when I see two women getting into it over a large tub of reduced Taramasalata. Needless to say, things got physical, clothes were torn and Taramasalata was everywhere.

It was fish and tits as far as the eye could see.

oh yeh i just remembered.... Trolley Wars, i hate it when some dozy twat runs there trolly into the back of your legs.

I'm sure its a legal way to incapacitate someone you don't like
