I was talking this morning and realised I've got some odd food double standards..

For instance...

Love hot chocolate... But can't stand chocolate milkshake.

Love bananas, but hate anything banana flavoured. Lol..

Like tomatoes, don't like tomatoe soup..

So do you have any odd food double standards..

Cali

I like tomatoes in any form whatsoever, other than raw !

Fried, tinned, Sun dried, ketchup, passata, roasted...you name it, as long as they're not raw

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I don't think they are double standards. Fake banana flavour only takes the high, sweet chemical notes of banana without the creamy roundness that makes it banana.

I love chocolate but I don't like chocolate sauce, ice-cream, drinks, cakes etc. I do like chocolate on a biscuit though.

I eat pretty much anything and everything!

I once had iguana for Christmas dinner in Belize and it was one of the best meals I've ever had!

I'm the opposite to a lot of people on here.

I love anything banana flavoured, and can eat banana in a smoothie, but can't eat an actual banana.

Tomato based anything, pasta sauce, ketchup, soup etc, but can't eat a physical tomato either raw or cooked.

For me, it's the texture don't like slimy.

Here and there

"I don't think they are double standards. Fake banana flavour only takes the high, sweet chemical notes of banana without the creamy roundness that makes it banana.

"

The reason that fake banana tastes wrong is because the variety of banana we eat in Europe and America is the cavendish banana. It was introduced in the 60s to replace the gros michele which had been all but wiped out by panama disease. Fake banana actually tastes like this older variety of banana.
