blow up the bag, then use your arm to push the right amount of air through the reed in the pipe and use your fingers on the holes to make the tune like on a recorder.

A world of my own

Had a piper playy at a funeral recently, it was amazing he lead the courtage through the streets to the church and then played at the crematorium, very moving it was.

I remember the funeral of the Queen Mother with Charles and his sons walking behind the gun carriage to the sound of a piper playing "Oft in the stilly night" - I've never felt so moved by a piece of music before or since.

I booked a piper to play at my fathers funeral, because it is what he would have wanted and it was excellent it helped my mother cope too for reasons to long to go into

Hope the deceased loved the pipes! When I got married my ex mother in law arranged a piper for when we walked out of the church (no one told me) - and I hate the pipes!!!!!!!!!!!

I do too.

When living and working in brum yrs ago we had about ten of them playing in our conference room.

Magical it was.

And i had chance to entertain a few of the coldstream guards too.
