Nostril hair acts as a net to stop to many dust particles getting into your body. I know this because I work in the building industry therefor subjected to a lot of dust and as a result I could French plat my nostril hairs if I didn't regularly pluck them then spend an hour sneezing until my head nearly leaves my neck.

How come the dirtiest place in my house, and also a mates, is the detergent/washing powder tray in the washing machine? It just doesnt make sense.

You notice it's growth if you've waxed or shaved it off. It doesn't grow faster otherwise we'd all look like Cousin It.
